Rear Steering Rack for Aristo V300

Rear steering rack with 2 front bottom ball joints (I broke a ball joint as well as the rear steer rack!)

The rear steering rack is an exclusive feature of the Aristo V300. The rack steers the rear wheels very slightly under certain cornering conditions - the car is more agile and handles better than it's size would suggest.

The steering is Active under steering conditions and not permanently switched ON.

This system is also featured on the Honda NSX and Skyline GTR V-Spec II - only the finest cars have this!

Unfortunately, this is the weakest point of the V300. I have already broken my rear steering rack plus the front bottom ball joints on these crappy Scottish roads.

Fitting of rear-steering rack is easy for your suspension specialist / mechanic. Just replace it the reverse way you removed it, ensure the electronics are plugged in.

Solutions to this problem :

- buy a new rear-steering rack. Email me at yoshi@lexusvertex if you wish to buy a rear-steering rack, I have brand new racks in stock.

- remove hubs and replace with GS300/430 hubs + straight thru bar.

- be careful driving over potholes! Ensure the car is not tied down too tightly on the boat from Japan as this will definitely ruin the camber and caster setup on suspension, maybe weaken the steering rack.

- I also broke a front bottom ball-joint, see Jap details on fitting :
